Dental Insurance:
What if I don’t have Dental Insurance?
Dental services for children without dental insurance are free. This is made possible by limited grant money given by the State of New Mexico and allocated to Participa!, Inc. to use specifically for child dental services.
Will my Insurance be billed?
Yes, (i.e Delta Dental, United Concordia of New Mexico) we will bill your insurance for the services your child receives.
Why should I provide my private insurance information?
If you have private dental insurance, you are paying a monthly fee for the dental insurance. In order to take advantage of the insurance you are already paying for, Participa!, Inc. will bill your insurance so you can take advantage of those benefits.
Is my child getting free dental service?
The amount of free services is limited based on the availability of grant money provided to Participa!, Inc. We try to reserve this money for those who do not have private dental insurance coverage.
When will my child be seen for dental services?
Participa!, Inc. travels to multiple schools throughout the school year. The availability of dental services at any given school can range between 1-14 days. If you would like to know more detailed information of when Participa! Inc. will be at your child’s school please contact the school health office directly.
Why do I need to give my contact information?
Your contact information, if you choose, can be utilized to communicate with you about the dental health of you child after their visit and/or to clarify your consent form information.
What if I already have a Dentist?
Excellent! We encourage all children and adults to have their own dentist. Participa!, INC. can bring the dental office to you! We can help your child receive their routine dental services during school hours. However, if your child needs more involved dental work (x-rays, fillings or crowns) we encourage you to see your own dentist for that treatment and we can supply the information needed.
What if I don’t have a Dentist?
That’s ok. Participa!, INC. works with licensed New Mexico dentist who perform the dental exams your child receives. We can also supply you with contact information for local dentist in your area or dental organizations that offer access to reduced/free dental services (i.e. Giving Kids a Smile, Mission of Mercy..etc)
